Paul Rand stated, “Design is the method of putting form and content together. Design, just as art, has multiple definitions; there is no single definition. Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated.”

I design and create beautiful, usable, professional websites that utilizes the latest W3C web standard guidelines, resulting in clean XHTML and CSS. I diligently hand code all my websites.

My packaging, advertising, and brand identity designs are conceptual and unique. I have improved usability, and aesthetical elements within many brands and products. I transform brands into compelling experiences through creating impactful connections with the consumer.

THE APPROACH

My philosophical take on design closely resembles user-centered design theory. A textbook definition would state that, user-centered design is a user interface approach, where the needs, wants, and limitations of the user are considered throughout the design process. In addition, I modified the process to incorporate other design platforms.

THE METHODS

Effective design comes from defined process, creative technique, and detailed ideation. I utilize a wide range of methods to develop influential design.

  • For large projects I take the time to create mood-boards, personas, or collages. This provides an overarching concept of the project through visual representation. I find this form of research leads to a more thorough understanding of the target market.

  • I believe a vital technique is to sketch my thoughts throughout the project. In addition, I find documenting ideas allow me to focus and problem-solve with complicated projects more efficiently. I start and end every project through this method.

My work creates interaction and communication between the consumer and the product. Through my experience the most impactful design tells a story through the aesthetics. I convey the essence of the product through sensory interactions to make strong design. This is what sets me apart from the rest.
